The Gerald R. Ferrera Service Fellowship, established in honor of the popular and committed professor of Law at Bentley, is designed to encourage student internships at non-profit organizations. The program will provide a stipend for two fellows each year to pursue work at non-profit organizations, government agencies and NGOs in the United States and abroad. The first fellows will be selected in spring 2013 for service during the summer.

A group of Bentley University students teamed up with nonprofits Environmental and Energy Study Institute (EESI) and Consumers Union (CU) to survey consumer perceptions of energy codes, which are minimum requirements that builders must meet in order to ensure that homes comply with energy efficiency standards.

Debuting in January 2013, the program fulfills a strong market demand for graduate programming that prepares students and professionals for user experience research and design careers, fields that are currently rich with job opportunities, particularly in the Silicon Valley, San Jose, San Francisco, and the Bay area.

Speaking to an estimated audience of more than 8,000, Lucchino urged graduates to turn down the electronics and social media to hear their inspiration. In an impassioned speech, Tsai challenged graduates to find success by first setting out to make a difference.

The fourth annual Conscious Capitalism research conference, held at Bentley May 22 and 23, 2012, will focus on the theme “Conscious Cultures: Building a Flourishing Business on Love and Care.”

Bentley University’s Center for Women and Business (CWB) today brought together global business leaders to discuss strategies and solutions for advancing women to positions of leadership.  The Center’s inaugural forum titled “Moving from Conversation to Action”, highlighted programs and initiatives implemented by businesses to advance women in the workforce.
