Usability Conference Focuses on Improving Financial Systems

Bentley Selected as North American Research Partner for Global Sustainability Project

In response to Bentley’s growing visibility in the global business arena, Bentley University has been selected to be a member of a global research team composed of universities from Europe, Latin America, Africa, the Middle East, Asia-Pacific, and China. The team is charged with assessing the sustainability of the multinational companies participating in the United Nation’s LEAD program, a 2011 outgrowth of the UN’s Global Compact Initiative.

W. Michael Hoffman Receives Lifetime Achievement Award and Mary Chiasson Honored for Dedicated Service in Ethics and Compliance

Dr. W. Michael Hoffman, the founding executive director of the Center for Business Ethics (CBE) at Bentley University and co-founder of the Ethics and Compliance Officer Association (ECOA), was honored with a lifetime achievement award in the field of ethics and compliance by the ECOA. Mary E. Chiasson, the CBE’s senior associate director, was also honored with an outstanding support and dedication award for 20 years of service to the ECOA.

Bentley Hosts New England’s Premier Tax Conference

Bentley University hosts the 19th annual IRS Town Meeting on Monday, October 22, 2012 featuring a keynote address by IRS Fraud and Bank Secrecy Act Director William P. Marshall. The program, sponsored by the Bentley Law, Taxation and Financial Planning Department and the Internal Revenue Service, is considered to be the premier tax conference in New England for lawyers, CPA’s, enrolled agents, and return preparers.

The IRS Town Meeting runs from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and also features several special speakers:

Larson and other members of the 2012 Power 50 will be recognized during a special event on November 1st in Boston.

Bentley University Ranks #4 Among the Top Regional Universities-North by U.S. News & World Report

In the most recent U.S. News & World Report rankings of America’s Best Colleges 2013, Bentley University is ranked #4 among “Best Regional Universities - North.”  Bentley is also ranked among the Top 50 “Best Business Programs” in the country at #47. These two ranking categories are based on results from peer assessment surveys.

In the business specialties category, also based on results from peer assessment surveys,  Bentley’s Accounting program ranked #21 nationally and #1 in New England.
