Learn To Lead Series

Panel

Each semester, the CWB organizes a campus-wide event where we bring in strategic partners for panel discussions and workshops focusing on women+ leadership development. This semester, we will explore the connection between intersectional allyship and intentional leaders. Students will learn how these innovators have leveraged intersectional allyship to become intentional leaders, driving change and using their influence as a force for good in global organizations.

Rainbow Scholars Leadership Development Program

Bentley University's award-winning Rainbow Scholars Program is a year-long, intersectional leadership development initiative. Launched in 2022 in collaboration with the  Gender and Sexuality Student Programs office, this program invites LGBTQ+ students and allies to explore their identities while embracing a holistic approach to leadership development that integrates core leadership concepts with personal growth. Scholars develop essential skills in self-advocacy, intersectionality, inclusive leadership, and community-building, facilitating workshops at the annual Rainbow Conference each spring.

Shared Sisterhood

Sisterhood

The Office of Diversity & Inclusion and the Center for Women and Business host a gender-race dialogue. Intentionally crafted at the intersection of racism and sexism, this dialogue experience is designed to bring together women of color, multi- and biracial women and white women to talk openly about how race influences our different gendered experiences on campus. Utilizing Shared Sisterhood: How to Take Collective Action for Racial and Gender Equity at Work by Drs. Tina Opie and Beth A. Livingston, this dialogue group is being run to create a brave space for authentic engagement among women.

Racial Equity Working Groups

Group

In our ongoing commitment to advancing racial equity on campus, the Office of Diversity & Inclusion, in collaboration with the CWB, has created dialogue opportunities (caucuses) for employees to engage with their experiences as racialized individuals bravely and authentically. To strengthen our collective capacity to participate in cross-racial brave spaces, these opportunities allow us to explore and seek support within identity-alike environments. The Racial Equity Working Groups—comprising the Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC) Solidarity Group and the Whiteness Accountability Group—are offered on a rotating basis each semester to facilitate this exploration and foster growth.

Student Ambassadors

CWB Student Ambassadors

The CWB Ambassador program is an internship program for Bentley graduate and undergraduate students. The goal of this internship is to expose students to the CWB's different lines of business and enable them to be well rounded leaders on campus. Ambassadors reinforce the CWB’s mission and goals throughout campus and support our internal and external initiatives and programs. Projects and responsibilities span from all lines of business including marketing, corporate relations, student events, research and social media. Throughout the semester, Ambassadors work on various projects, receive training and mentorship, and attend events on campus on behalf of the CWB. Additionally, they are responsible for working on a capstone project throughout the semester demonstrating what they have learned while interning at our Center which they present to their colleagues and staff at the end of the year.
