Who's ready for a well-deserved break?!  While we hope that you'll take some time to rest, relax, and have fun, the library will remain open throughout Fall Mini-Break if you need a place to study or catch up on work. Please note that there exceptions to our normal operating hours on Sunday and Monday:

Saturday, October 7 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. (normal operating hours)

Sunday, October 8 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

It’s that time of year again – October 4th is #AskAnArchivist Day! This is the day when archivists across the country (and the globe) tell everyone more about what kind of work they do, and the types of interesting material you can find in archives. Below are some FAQ’s with information about the Bentley Archives.

According to the American Library Association website, "A [book] challenge is an attempt to remove or restrict materials, based upon the objections of a person or group. A banning is the removal of those materials. Challenges do not simply involve a person expressing a point of view; rather, they are an attempt to remove material from the curriculum or library, thereby restricting the access of others. As such, they are a threat to freedom of speech and choice."

Opening on October 5th is an installation of paintings and sculpture by artist Robert Collins.  An opening reception for the artist will be held on Wednesday, October 18, from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m.
