Center for International Students and Scholars (CISS)

Bentley University offers a warm and inviting community for international students and scholars to learn, engage, and grow personally and professionally.

The Center for International Students & Scholars (CISS) serves as a resource for our international community through immigration advising, cross-cultural programming, and resource referral.

Travel Advisory - April 2025

As always, we are closely monitoring U.S. government policies for any changes that could impact our Bentley community.

We are concerned by recent news reports of a possible travel ban for non-U.S. citizens from certain countries. We want to encourage our international students to consider postponing international travel whether personal, academic or professional until we have more guidance.

If you have plans to travel, please keep in mind that changes in visa processing, reentry requirements, and country-specific restrictions can happen quickly and without much warning. Here are important points to consider:

  • If you travel abroad, any new restrictions could prevent you from returning to the U.S.
  • If you are currently out of the country and have questions about steps to take to prepare for your return, please contact CISS at ga_ciss@bentley.edu

We will promptly email you if there are any changes in policy or guidance from government agencies that affect international students. We understand that this may be a stressful time for you. Please know that we are here to support you. If you have any questions or need assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.

CISS Programs

International Student Orientation

The Center for International Students and Scholars (CISS) welcomes students from more than 90 countries each year. CISS provides guidance on immigration-related matters as well as assistance with cultural adjustment. Our goal is to ensure that all students feel comfortable in the Bentley community.

International students will attend an International Student Welcome and Orientation prior to orientation. If you are joining us this spring, the program will begin January 15th with residential move-In and then programming January 16th-20th.

For more information, registration, and scheduling, please visit the Campus Groups page.
