Mathematical Association of America Names Bentley University Professor Nathan Carter Recipient of the 2010 Henry L. Alder Award for Distinguished Teaching by a Beginning College or University Mathematics Faculty Member

The Mathematical Association of America (MAA) awarded Bentley University professor Nathan Carter with the 2010 Henry L. Alder Award for Distinguished Teaching by a Beginning College or University Mathematics Faculty Member. Carter, who is an assistant professor of mathematical sciences, is one of only two winners of the national award.

Bentley University Names Dr. Daniel Everett Dean of Arts & Sciences

Daniel Everett PhD, has been appointed Dean of Arts & Sciences at Bentley University, effective July 1, 2010.

Everett will join Bentley from Illinois State University, where he has served as Department Chair for Languages, Literatures and Cultures since 2006.  In February of this year, he was also named that institution’s first University Professor.

Bentley Sophomore Danny Wong Launches Online Custom-Design Shirt Company, Gains National Media Attention

A business co-founded by sophomore Danny Wong is garnering national media attention. Blank Label, an online custom-design dress shirt company, has been featured by outlets such as Boston.com, Forbes, FastCompany and Bloomberg/BusinessWeek. Wong, who is majoring in Information Design and Corporate Communication, serves as the company's marketing guru. He launched the business in October 2009 with co-founder and CEO Fan Bi.
