With midterms upon us many of you are probably working on at least one paper, project, or assignment that requires research. Don't stress - here are six easy ways for you to get research help from a reference librarian:

The library will remain open during the fall break with some adjustments to our normal operating hours on Sunday and Monday.

Mythologies offer insights into human nature and each culture's beliefs about the world. Many contemporary authors, artists, and cartoonists are building new narratives on the foundations of myth to offer a shift in perspective.

Transparent Languages Online provides learning materials and paths for over 100 languages, including English. Activities incorporate listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Learners can follow the standard paths provided, or customize their own. 

We are often asked if we have course textbooks. The answer is, "maybe".

Although the Bentley Library does not purchase textbooks, it is worth checking to see if (1) your professor has placed a copy of the textbook on reserve or (2) your textbook happens to be in the library's regular book collection.

Please join us in the RSM Art Gallery for the opening of Touching the Pond on September 15. The artist talk will start at 5:00 p.m., followed by a reception. AJ Rombach will discuss their work on exhibit - landscape paintings on canvas and on ceramic tile, ceramic relief symbol portraits, and wood bird sculptures.

New Library Search & Website Launched this Summer

We had a busy summer here at the library, launching a new Library Search tool and a new website in the month of June. In case you missed those announcements, here is a recap of the big news:

10:00 a.m. - midnight

Monday - Thursday
7:30 a.m. - midnight

Friday
7:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Welcome, new Falcons! Library staff are excited to meet you and want you to feel at home at the Bentley Library. We invite all new undergraduate, graduate, and transfer students to visit the Library Open House on Friday, September 2, from 1:30-3:30 p.m.

In observance of Labor Day, the library will be closed Saturday, September 3 through Monday, September 5. We will start our regular fall semester hours at 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 6. View the online calendar for complete information about building and research help hours.
