Cultivating meaningful external partnerships with companies and organizations in the health industry is pivotal in developing the Bentley health ecosystem, applying research innovations to practice and providing relevant experiences for learners. The CHB serves to identify and advance mutually-beneficial and multifaceted partnerships in the health space that support Bentley’s health ecosystem, the broader mission of the university and health industry needs.
On-site Insights
The CHB focuses on forming partnerships with external collaborators to give students mentorship, experiential learning and job opportunities. One of the ways we accomplish this is through our field trip program, Health Industry On-site Insights, which offers students the opportunity to visit a local health industry company.
Boston Scientific
In February 2024, the CHB led a group of students to Boston Scientific in Marlborough, MA to learn more about this innovative company, hear from a panel of Bentley alumni in their finance department & tour one of their innovative spaces to see how they are “improving the health of patients around the world.”
Suffolk
In November 2023, a small group of students visited Suffolk, in Boston to hear from a panel of experts about their career journeys and how Suffolk is using innovative ideas and products to build for the future, with a focus on health industry buildings.
Third Rock Ventures
In April 2023, Bentley students spent an afternoon at Third Rock Ventures (TRV), a venture capital firm that invests in and creates life science companies, learning about TRV, career paths, finance roles and how they are involved in "company building," followed by an opportunity to network with current associates, principals and recruiters.
