Each year, nearly 1,000 students participate in intensive service opportunities at 60 community partner sites. The Bentley Service-Learning and Civic Engagement Center (BSLCE) oversees an innovation student leadership model to drive its programs. Student leaders work with over 100 faculty across disciplines to incorporate service–learning opportunities in their courses.
In addition, BSLCE offers a variety of co-curricular civic engagement initiatives on campus and in the community, including an annual Fair Trade Fair, an Alternative Break Habitat trip, and strategic consultancy to local nonprofits. Besides developing key skills, you’ll gain the valuable civic skills employers seek and discover a deeper connection to the world beyond campus.
