Database of the Month: Gale Leisure Collections (InfoTrac)
March 21, 2014
InfoTrac has created a collection of databases suited to searching journal articles and reference book chapters on topics in culinary arts, gardening, landscape design, horticulture, hospitality, tourism and leisure. There are over 2,000 journals in these three databases – Culinary Arts, Gardening, Landscape and Horticulture and Hospitality, Tourism and Leisure. Not all articles are full text, but by searching for a particular title under Publication Search, you will be able to determine if there is a delay in availability for a particular journal or magazine. These databases are a rich blend of leisure and scholarly content. You will find industry information, travel guides, adult and children’s leisure reading magazines, textbooks, recipes, videos, web blogs, and government publications.
The Culinary Arts Collection includes more than 300 major cooking and nutrition magazines, culinary journals and 20 Delmar Reference titles. Coverage includes thousands of searchable recipes, restaurant reviews, industry information, and instruction for the practitioner. The Culinary Arts Collection searches 287 journal publications, including some familiar full-text titles:
