As an English major, you’ll study literary methods and philosophies from around the globe. And you’ll create literary pieces too. Coursework is designed to guide you through the creative process for your preferred genre, from poetry to screenwriting. Communication skills are a key factor in career advancement, whether you work in a creative field or not.
As an English major, you will graduate with a broad knowledge of business by completing courses that are part of the Business Administration minor. You will also have the option of complementing your English major with a Business Administration major, or any other approved Bentley major, by using some of your free electives to take additional courses.

Wonder Women (EMS 362)
Heroic women characters often have a profound and lasting impact on the cultural imagination. But when is "girl power" really challenging staid notions about gender roles, and when does it simply serve as a fantasy reinscription of old premises about women as servants, caregivers or sex objects? This course applies these critical concerns to a number of heroic, superheroic and antiheroic women characters in television and cinema.
